The standards were miraculously intact, and once we picked them up, it seemed like the mud from the ground and rain from above just rolled off the fabric like nothing. I still see it as a sign. An optimistic signal of approval from the void. Leaf and Bean had fought, and it had been bloody indeed. But once they ceased their fighting, the Temple had won and the world trembled.”
